ACO MultiDrain® Brickslot
Discrete and Aesthetic Drainage

Uniqueness and charisma are key considerations included in the architectural planning of outdoor surfaces. Drainage is a significant and important part of a unified surface design. Professional line drainage and grates can influence the design to a great extent. Line drainage ensures effective removal of surface water even in sloped installations, ensuring a visually clean design.
Brickslot for the Multidrain drainage range was created to enable both “concealed” and “enhanced” drainage. Functionality and aesthetics interconnect in a unique way. The brand new line of ACO Brickslot fully meets the requirements of timeless design. If you are an architect, ACO MultiDrain® Brickslot can enable a discreet, sleek and original design.
The ACO MultiDrain® Brickslot has multiple design and material options and is compatible with a spectrum of ACO drainage channels. Additionally ACO can offer bespoke design solutions where a specific need is required.

Protective Cover
The tempoary cover protecting the inet slot not ony protects the ACO MultiDrain® Brickslot against damage during installation, but also shields the the inlet slot from site debris.
What is the minimum upstand height of the slot?
The standard Brickslot upstand height is 105 mm. A reduced 65 mm option is available as part of our non-stock range (with a longer lead time). For smaller requirements, bespoke Brickslot units can be manufactured with a minimum upstand height of 35 mm.
Are the Brickslot tops HeelGuard? (Heel friendly)
Yes. The inlet width ranges from 8 mm to 10 mm, depending on whether a single, double, or triple slot is used and the load class selected. Gratings with openings of 10 mm or less qualify as ACO HeelGuard covers.
Is it necessary to install an access unit?
Yes. Access units should always be included to allow maintenance, as channels will naturally collect debris over time. Without access points, maintenance would not be possible. We recommend positioning access units at the outlet, at changes in direction, and at the beginning of a channel run. For full guidance, please refer to our maintenance brochure.
How can I connect the channel to a downpipe?
A dedicated downpipe connector is not available for the Brickslot range. However, a multifunctional end cap may be used to connect a downpipe into the end or side of a channel run, provided an access unit is included to allow for maintenance.
Can the units be mitred?
Mitring MultiDrain Brickslot units can be challenging, as it requires precise workmanship to align the slots correctly, and the channels must also be mitred to suit.
For curved layouts, large radii are possible using 500 mm units. With the top edges touching, each 500 mm section allows around 10° of movement, giving a radius of approximately 2.8 m. With 1000 mm gratings, this equates to a radius of about 5.7 m. Please note: a slight gap will remain between the top edges to create the curve, and sealing of the channel/flat cover gaps is required (see datasheet for details).
