Rationale for continuing operations

Construction sites have not been asked to close

We will maintain full support to customers that continue to operate until further notice; this is on the basis that despite the understandable confusion created by the corona virus pandemic, the government has confirmed that construction sites can continue to operate. They state:

To deliver full support ACO have worked hard in order to establish strict new operating procedures in the business. All of our operating focus is directed in the context of health and safety of its employees and customers;  it continues to be of paramount importance whilst ensuring the business continues to run with optimal efficiency in this new and challenging environment.

We will continue to monitor Government & WHO guidelines and working practices to ensure we implement appropriate responses across the whole business so as to comply with all government guidelines as a minimum.

Safe site working

Government guidance

ACO would like to remind all customers of the current guidance for safe site operating.

The secretary of state for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy, Alok Sharma, confirmed that the Site Operating Procedures published by the Construction Leadership Council are aligned with Public Health England (PHE) guidance that must be implemented in the workplace.
